1. Introduction

APICS (Antwerp Port Information and Control System) is an existing application for internal and external users with different functionalities depending on the profile of the end-user.

This manual describes the use of APICS Barge, the application for inland shipping which is available in both a web application and a mobile app (Android / iOS).

Barge operators and skippers from inland navigation will be able to electronically announce voyages, to moor and unmoor and to book locks through this application.

Additional functionalities are: live tracking of your ship or fleet, consulting the berth occupation, follow-up the current situation at locks and bridges, etc.

The purpose of this application is mainly to increase the smoothness and safety of navigation within the port and to avoid waiting times at the locks.
